The issues of the training

Work on a hydraulic system (boiler room) can be dramatic when safety procedures are not correctly followed. Non-compliance with safety rules can, for example, lead to serious fatal burns if the water is boiling.  There are lots of risks to identify and prevent in order to avoid any accident : valve opening, boiling water leak, filter damage, etc ..

The benefits of the Virtual Reality

People learn and understand best when they interact with a ressource (learning by doing instead of learning through abstraction). Indeed, an individual retains 20% of what he heard and retains 90% of what he felt. Through our VR-based course, your employees confront risks related to the non-compliance of safety rules when operating on a hydraulic system (boiler room) in a 3D virtual environment that provides a fairly faithful representation of reality and a sensory based learning style. Statistics in real-time are available to identify mistake in order to solve it, ensure the change and work in better conditions.

"Maintenance Operations - Hot water valves consignment" course’s objectives

For trainees:

  • Know the personal protective equipment (PPE) required to work on a hydraulic system,
  • Become familiar with safety rules in order to provide a safe and secure work environment,
  • Identify and prevent accidental situations and risky behaviours during consignment in a boiler room,
  • Know the security procedures at each stage of consignment and respect the chronology of operations,
  • Become aware of the danger through a VR-based accident simulation in case of incomplete consignment,
  • Evaluate his knowledge.

For the company:

  • Reinforce accident prevention of risks in the workplace,
  • Simulate accidental situations and their consequences, in Virtual Reality,
  • Remind safety procedures when working on a hydraulic installation,
  • Reduce the frequency rate of work-related accidents.

Target audience for the course

All the employees working on a hydraulic system.

Equipment required:

A Virtual Reality headset such as HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, or Windows Mixed Reality compatible (Samsung Odyssey, Dell Visor, HP Windows Mixed Reality…), connected to a VR Ready PC. With an Internet connection, you can view your reports and update your courses.
