Climbing a ladder may seem simple. Yet every year, hundreds of serious accidents occur due to improper use or defective equipment. These incidents—often preventable—are usually the result of insufficient training and lack of vigilance.

According to OSHA, 100% of ladder-related accidents could have been avoided if the appropriate safety measures had been applied. That’s where our augmented reality simulator comes in.

An Immersive and Realistic AR Simulator

Thanks to augmented reality, learners can visualize full-scale ladders directly in their environment through their smartphone camera. Defects are reproduced with photorealistic 3D rendering, validated by fall protection safety experts.

This allows them to:

  • Move freely around the equipment
  • Observe defects from all angles
  • Train in near-real conditions—without the risk

Learning Objectives

  • Identify common hazards related to ladder use
  • Master best practices for thorough inspection
  • Use different types of ladders correctly and safely
  • Internalize key safety reflexes to prevent accidents (falls, electrocution, injuries to others)

Each scenario is followed by an interactive quiz to reinforce learning and validate knowledge acquisition.

Who Should Attend?

This training is designed for any personnel required to work on a ladder or step ladder, regardless of their industry: maintenance, construction, logistics, events, and more.

Included Training Scenarios

1. Ladder Inspection

Learn how to identify 18 critical defects across a series of six ladders: broken locking mechanism, missing anti-slip pad, cracked step, oily rung, bent flipper, damaged platform, sharp spreaders, and more.

Objective: Ensure every piece of equipment is compliant and safe before use.

2. Correct Ladder Usage

Avoid the most common mistakes:

  • Ladder on a slippery surface or propped with a brick
  • Ladder placed against a partially open door
  • Unsafe proximity to electrical lines
  • Standing on the top rung
  • Failing to maintain the 3-point contact rule

Also, learn how to calculate the ideal ladder angle using two methods: the 4:1 ratio rule and the body method.

Why Choose This Training?

  • Active and engaging learning through augmented reality
  • Realistic scenarios based on actual field situations
  • Time-efficient and safety-focused training
  • Accessible on smartphones, no complex setup required
