Image of the workshop Choking Risk

Choking can quickly lead to fatal asphyxiation.
This Augmented Reality simulator teaches employees how to act fast and apply the right techniques to save a choking colleague.

Immersive & Risk-Free Simulation

The training scenarios are rendered in augmented reality with photorealistic 3D visuals, offering total immersion in a completely safe environment. The trainee can move freely around the life-size scene, projected into their real surroundings (office, meeting room, home...) through their smartphone or tablet camera.

This interactive format develops precise reflexes, sharp observation skills, and a better understanding of critical points to check.

Learning Objectives

The trainee will learn how to assist a choking person using the "five-and-five" method:

  • 5 back blows
  • 5 abdominal thrusts (Heimlich maneuver)

until the airway obstruction is cleared.

Target Audience

All employees — no prior training required.

Training Scenarios

The simulator walks the trainee through the full emergency response process. It evaluates their ability to:

  • assess the victim's condition,
  • perform back blows and abdominal thrusts correctly,
  • adapt the procedure depending on the situation.

Two AR Training Scenarios

  • Save someone from choking
  • Save a pregnant woman from choking (modified protocol)

This risk-free AR simulation features photorealistic 3D characters rendered in full scale and projected into the trainee’s real environment using a smartphone or tablet. It builds confidence and muscle memory through immersive repetition.
