Safety in Public Works: Virtual Immersion Driving Prevention at Aubron Mechineau

A few weeks ago, the teams at Aubron Mechineau took a key step forward in their risk prevention approach. For an innovative safety day, the company chose to leverage virtual reality to raise awareness among employees about the specific demands of the public works sector.

Here is a look back at a milestone event where technology served human vigilance.

Team spirit at the heart of the virtual experience

Hosted by our consultant Sébastien Huchin, this day plunged participants into ultra-realistic construction site simulations. Far from being a simple individual exercise, using the VR headset quickly went beyond a gaming context to become a true tool for cohesion and mutual aid.

The keys to this session's success:

  • Immediate immersion: Employees quickly adapted to the technological tool to face job risks without any real danger.
  • A collaborative dynamic: The sessions generated a strong sense of solidarity, with onlookers actively guiding and advising their colleagues mid-simulation.
  • Anchoring the right reflexes: Analyzing risks together makes it easier to transpose these automatic habits to future jobsites.

"The employees managed to get into the experience and help their colleagues." — Sébastien Huchin, consultant.

One step closer to "Zero Accidents"

In the public works sector, safety is everyone's business and happens every second on the ground. By fostering experience sharing and mutual observation, this workshop proved that prevention is even more effective when experienced collectively.

This successful safety day marks a great step forward and sets a clear trajectory: another decisive step toward the zero accident goal. A big well done to the Aubron Mechineau teams for their involvement, seriousness, and team spirit!
